Butterflies nanny agency is based in Elsenham. I decided to set up my own nanny agency after being a nanny myself for over 10 years. I have all kinds of experience and I am now a mother myself, I feel I know the needs and requirements for both the family and the nanny.

My aim is to ensure that both the nanny and family match each others requirements and will liase with both throughout the process answering any queries or discuss any concerns.

What is a Nanny?

A Nanny is mainly responsible for the care of the children of the family and for any household duties that has directly to do with them. This will include childrens washing, ironing and preparing healthy and balanced meals. A Nanny can be either live in or live out. A live out nanny will leave your home at the end of the day where as a live in nanny will have their own room in your home. This all depends on preference of the family.

What is a Nanny share?

A Nanny may be employed by two families at the same time. The practical arrangements are negotiated between the two families and the Nanny. The nanny would earn a normal nanny salary but the costs are divided evenly between each family.

"What is a mothers/ fathers help?"

A mothers/fathers help is usually a candidate who is less experienced than a Nanny. They will work alongside the parent, gaining further experience whilst gradually taking some sole charge. The average working day is somewhere between 8 - 10 hours.
